Overview

Paint protection film is one of the highest-value services a shop can offer. This class covers PPF fundamentals through hands-on installation: surface prep, film handling, slip and tack solutions, squeegee technique, and wrapping edges and complex curves.

You'll learn how to avoid the fingerprints, dust, and lifting edges that ruin an install, and how to deliver a durable, nearly invisible result.

What you'll Learn

  • PPF materials and where they're used

  • Surface preparation and a clean install environment

  • Slip and tack solution mixing and use

  • Cutting from patterns vs. bulk film

  • Squeegee technique and removing solution

  • Wrapping edges, curves, and tight areas

  • Post-install inspection and curing

  • Care instructions and troubleshooting

Prequisites

Basic detailing experience recommended.
